Senegalese wrestling otherwise know as LAMB or Lutte(the french). Here it is~ in all of it’s GLORY. pageantry, strength, VALOR, friendship, TRADITION, grisgris, rivalry, spirit, Allah, PASSION, will, defeat,  ANCIENT, Modern, ANCESTRY, dance,  drum, RITUAL, POWER

Ancient Nubian wrestling depicted on Egyptian walls. Nubian civilization pre-dates Egyptian and NUBIANS are believed to be the FIRST human civilization. The Lebou of Senegal is a tribe who migrated to the Lebou peninsula in Senegal (where Dakar now sits) from this Kingdom. DID THEY BRING THIS WRESTLING and it’s tradtions? looks like it!

    The film totally conveys the spirit of this sport/event/spectacle. There is something magic going on there – and it doesn’t only have something to do with the marabouts.
