The day of the site blessing.
Our class of architecture and landscape architecture students were in Mexico for a quarter to help site a small town square and school for displaced people from Chiapas. While there we built a 20,000 gallon cistern mixing all of the concrete by hand and shovel. Where this girl sits was the mixing pad. 1996

At the design build site on a Sunday the whole community would come out to help pour the concrete for the cistern. Some entertaining us with music.
