The blooming took nearly a year from the dried out cutting to placement in soil with weekly deep waterings. In about 6 months the beginnings of life started to emerge on the tips. Careful to not over water 💦 I made sure not to let the soil dry out. I imagined her growing roots during this time. She seemed to be just thinking about it for quite awhile, whether or not to become a tree.

I like to mist her when the sun is out and hot. It’s usually sunny when it’s raining in Hawai’i so I think she likes the cool water on the warm pot. It reminds her of home (even though she’s never been there)
